Teach For America DFW is proud to announce today the renewal of its contract with Fort Worth Independent School District. The renewal of the contract between Teach For America DFW and Fort Worth ISD furthers the partnership between the two organizations for the next year.
Teach For America DFW and Fort Worth ISD have partnered together for the past 10 school years to reimagine education and realize the day when every child in Fort Worth has an equal opportunity to learn, lead, thrive, and co-create a future filled with possibility – advancing educational equity for all students in Fort Worth for the past decade. Approximately 300 Teach For America educators are currently working towards educational equity throughout Tarrant County, with 30 percent working in Fort Worth ISD classrooms.
Teach For America DFW is continuing to make a monumental impact in education across the metroplex – the organization has reached over 400,000 students in 3,400 classrooms throughout the metroplex to date, surpassing its initial goal set in 2015 of 100,000 students by the end of 2020.
“Teach For America DFW is thrilled by the decision of Fort Worth Independent School District to renew our contract for another year and continue partnering to make quality education accessible to all children in the region,” said Rea Foster, Teach For America DFW Executive Director. “Teach For America DFW and Fort Worth Independent School District have a decade of history and a legacy of working together to fight for opportunities for all children, regardless of where they live in Dallas-Fort Worth. We are proud to continue that work together.”
