Car enthusiast Miguel Argueta grew up around lowriders. He’s had six of his own since he became serious about his hobby.

“We do this just for fun. It’s more like a hobby — an expensive hobby,” Argueta said. “I’ve been in lowriders since I was a kid.”

Argueta and his brother, Misael, were born in Guanajuato, Mexico, but moved to and grew up in Southside Fort Worth.

The brothers regularly cruise around in the lowriders with the rest of their crew in Latin Paradise, their lowrider club. The crew also goes out of state to car shows.

The Hemphill Street cruise on May 29 featured car clubs and enthusiasts from the Metroplex. Riders met on Hemphill Street and cruised through Main Street into Northside Fort Worth.
