Trinity Collaborative, the producer of Mayfest, announced the retirement of longtime executive director Elizabeth Basham and the appointment of Iris Bruton as incoming executive director.

Throughout her 14-year tenure, Basham cultivated significant community relationships, oversaw the development and implementation of a strategic plan, and expanded the operations of the nonprofit organization.

Bruton, who has volunteered at Mayfest for over a decade, brings a wealth of knowledge of and experience in the nonprofit sector. Prior to her position at Trinity Collaborative, Bruton worked at multiple nonprofit organizations building collaborative partnerships, securing grants and developing program service offerings. She is an award-winning program manager and event coordinator who spent seven years creating nationally-recognized programs at the University of Texas at Arlington.
