Jim Allard, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE, has been named chief nursing officer (CNO) of Medical City Arlington starting August 29.

Since March 2020, Allard served as vice president and CNO of Medical City Children’s Hospital and Medical City Women’s Hospital Dallas where he helped lead services including congenital heart, neonatal and pediatric services, and women’s services. Allard also helped successfully lead the neonatal and maternal re-designation efforts and worked closely with the chief nursing executive at Medical City Dallas to build cross-hospital partnerships in nursing leadership and with the hospital nurse executive council. Prior to Medical City Healthcare, he served as assistant CNO of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, a 490-bed Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, part of the HCA Gulf Coast Division.

Allard holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Executive Leadership from Texas Christian University and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a fellow in the prestigious American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a 2018 graduate of the HCA Healthcare Executive Development Program.
