Nathan Joe Loftice has joined EarthX as chief executive officer and executive director of the international nonprofit environmental organization based in Dallas. .
In announcing the appointment of Loftice, a longtime director at BNSF, Trammell Crow, real estate developer and founder of EarthX, noted business acumen, integrity, leadership, and passion and respect for the world and people around him.
Founded in 2011 by Trammell Crow, EarthX will host its Half-Earth Day event on Oct.
20-22 and annual Earth Day celebration on April 20-23, 2023, both in Dallas.
“In my 30- year career, I have worked on environmental issues all over the world and I
am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish with EarthX starting right here in
Dallas and growing out of Texas roots,” Loftice said. “Trammell’s unmatched passion
and commitment has enabled people to elevate environmental challenges and
opportunities. I am a proud Texan and I believe Texas can lead the herd to a
sustainable future, bringing diverse perspectives together right here in the middle of
America.”
From 2015 to 2022, Loftice served as director of business sustainability, planning and
permitting with Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK)’s BNSF, headquartered in Fort
Worth. He was named BNSF Employee of the Year in 2018.
Most of Nathan’s professional career was at FedEx, where he oversaw global supply
chains, managed risks, and executed efficient sustainable operations, as the
International Global Leader of Environmental Affairs and Business Sustainability
