FORT WORTH, Texas – Valentine’s Day is upon us and the Fort Worth Zoo has a little somethin’ for you special someone(s). Gift one of four unique Valentine’s adoption packages to show your love. Tell someone you’re “hopped up on love” for them with a kangaroo adoption or say “I love you, baby” with a gorilla adoption, celebrate someone who is “one in cha-meleon” with a chameleon adoption or honor your single pals with a playful “owl by myself” barn owl adoption. Each package includes a plush animal, personalized certificate of adoption, Zoo publication, coloring packet and animal fact sheet all packaged in a festive Valentine’s-themed carrier box for $50.

Want to take it up a notch? The Zoo is once again hosting annual sell-out Valentine’s events: Galentine’s Party and the second-ever Father-Daughter Dance (the Valentine’s Dinners are already sold out)! Celebrate the love with your favorite gal pals or little ladies at the Zoo!

Father-Daughter Dance

Friday, Feb. 3; 7 to 9 p.m.

Includes light refreshments, dance games and photo ops

$85 per pair, $25 for each additional daughter, $35 for each additional father figure

Galentine’s Party

Thursday, Feb. 9; 7 to 9 p.m.

Includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, dessert buffet and an interactive animal trivia game


$85 per person

Guests attending the Galentine’s Party must be at least 21 years of age. Each event features a meet-and-greet with the Zoo’s outreach animals and a special party favor: a Valentine’s adoption package of your choosing.

Know that however you choose to share the love this Valentine’s Day, proceeds from the Zoo’s Valentine’s events and adoptions contribute directly to the quality care and feeding of the Zoo’s animals, as well as the Zoo’s education and conservation efforts here at home and around the world.
