Ms. Nevels is fifth grade English Language Arts and Reading Texas Education Agency Exemplary rated teacher at Mighty Primary here in Fort Worth. Ms. Nevels serves in a variety of roles and loves every minute of it! She serves as the fourth and fifth grades Multi Classroom Leader. This position allows her to coach, collaborate and share her knowledge with four other teachers on her campus. At the district level, Ms. Nevels serves as a Teacher Content Facilitator, which enables her to plan and professionally develop grade-appropriate content with other fourth and fifth grade reading teachers from other Uplift Schools. Ms. Nevels is also the founder and sponsor of the Uplift Mighty National Junior Beta Club. Every year she leads a team of teachers and students to compete with students across Texas in the areas of robotics, fashion design, technology, dance, reading, math, language arts and photography. Ms. Nevels is the current Instructional Leader of the Year and two time Core Value Star of the Month.
