Lawyer Bill Greenhill wants another four years on the Tarrant County College board of trustees.

Greenhill, 76, recently filed to run for re-election representing TCC District 4, which includes West Fort Worth, Azle, Haslet, Watauga, North Richland Hills and Haltom City. Candidates Jack Reynolds, Laura Forkner Prichett and Larry Dale Carpenter Jr. are challenging the incumbent.

Greenhill has been on the board since 2010. Trustees serve four-year terms.

Election Day is May 6. Early voting begins April 24 and ends May 2. The last day to register to vote is April 6.

Green, who works for the law firm Haynes Boone, said he has a compassion for the cause of community colleges, he said.

“The cause is to ensure quality and affordable education for students and to our community,” he said.

Greenhill earned his bachelor’s degree in history and government and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been married since 1972 and has three children and two grandchildren.

The District 5 seat on the TCC board also is slated for the May ballot. Trustees serve in single-member districts.

Candidates have until Feb. 17 to file for a place on the ballot.
