Brendan McGuire, executive vice president and PNC regional president for North Texas, has been
elected to chair the World Affairs Council’s board of directors beginning April 1, 2023.
McGuire is following in the footsteps of David Meyer, partner at Grant Thornton in Dallas, after his two-year term ends.

In addition to presenting authoritative programs on international issues and opportunities, the World Affairs Council is a connecting point for worldwide diplomats and business interests in the Dallas/Fort Worth community. Additionally, the Council’s Global Young Leaders program works with high schools to give students a reliable venue to learn about global careers, issues, and education opportunities.
McGuire currently serves on the boards of directors for the Dallas Regional Chamber, the AT&T Performing Arts Center, Broadway Dallas, and the board of trustees for the Dallas Museum of Art, the latter of which he also serves as finance committee chair. He is also a member of the Dallas Citizens Council and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ Tocqueville Society.
A graduate of Kennesaw State University, Brendan earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and achieved the designation of Certified Public Accountant.
