YOKOSUKA, Japan – Petty Officer 3rd Class Brannon Johnson, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, serves in Japan aboard a forward-deployed U.S. Navy warship.
Johnson joined the Navy three years ago. Today, Johnson serves as a quartermaster aboard Ralph Johnson.
“I joined the Navy because I want to make something out of my life,” said Johnson.
Growing up in Fort Worth, Johnson attended V.R Eaton High School and graduated in 2020.
Today, Johnson relies upon skills and values similar to those found in Fort Worth to succeed in the military.
“A lesson I learned from my hometown was to take things one step at a time,” said Johnson. “I also learned it is important to have confidence in myself.”
