Yesterday I went to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens to see the new Florigami exhibit. I was shocked at the stark contrast between my drought ridden backyard and the lush gardens. The fresh smells and blooming flowers transported me to another universe. I took pictures of every origami I saw. Then, I noticed three turtles sunning themselves near this gigantic origami sculpture with the reflection in the pond, and knew I had captured the essence of this space. I am so glad I live near the gardens and am a member so I can enjoy one of the shining stars of Fort Worth.
