On December 15, 2023 at 7:30PM and December 16, 2023 at 2PM, at the historic Will Rogers Auditorium, prepare to be transported to the heartwarming world of “Encanto” in a truly unforgettable way. In this unique cinematic event, the FWSO will perform the enchanting score of Encanto live alongside the feature-length film, creating a mesmerizing symphonic experience that will leave audiences of all ages in awe.
The FWSO’s live performance, harmonizing seamlessly with the film, breathes life into the heartwarming narrative of Encanto. A unique convergence of symphonic excellence and cinematic storytelling, this concert invites the audience to embark on an emotional journey to the magical “encanto” nestled in the Columbian mountains and to rediscover the gifts of the family Madrigal.
Walt Disney’s storytelling legacy, characterized by the celebration of familial bonds, inner strength, and determination, finds its perfect match in Encanto. The Encanto soundtrack features eight original songs by Academy Award®-nominated, Tony® and Grammy®-winning songwriter/composer Lin-Manuel Miranda with an original score by Academy Award®-nominated composer Germaine Franco. Iconic songs, including the Academy Award®-nominated “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and the heartfelt “Surface Pressure,” resonate even more deeply when accompanied by the FWSO’s gifted musicians.
