Rocio joined the Fort Worth Report in August 2023 to fill a newly created role focused on listening, engaging and growing a community of supporters. Prior to this, she oversaw the membership program at a leading local news station in San Antonio. She interned at the International Center for Journalists and previously held a fellowship at The Texas Tribune. Rocio studied communications in college and proudly credits the start of her career in journalism to The Shorthorn, UTA’s award-winning student news organization.
