Flooding in Fort Worth
Just one year ago, a historic rainfall devastated Tarrant County. As flash flooding damaged properties across the region, the county declared the area a disaster. How can our rapidly growing county ensure that we are prepared for another flooding event? And what resources are available to residents affected by storms?
The moderator for this challenging conversation is award-winning journalist Haley Samsel. Panelists include:
- Jennifer Dyke, assistant director of Fort Worth’s transportation and public works department
- Nick Fang, UT Arlington civil engineering professor
- Rachel Ickert, chief water resources officer for Tarrant Regional Water District
