Fort Worth ISD elementary parents looking for their student’s school supply list this year can sit back and relax! For the second year, the Fort Worth ISD Board of Education – with stakeholder input – recently approved purchasing school supplies for all enrolled elementary students. The funds for school supplies will come from the federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds being provided to FWISD, not to exceed $2.6 million.

Supplies will be purchased before the first day of school, Monday, Aug. 15.

District officials say the purchase reduces the financial impact on families with children returning to school and promotes increased student enrollment and participation.

There is no single school supply list at the secondary level because all students have a unique schedule with varying courses.

In addition, all FWISD teachers will receive a $250 stipend in their Sept. 28 paychecks to purchase classroom supplies.
