The first day of school will be here sooner than you think.
Public schools in the Fort Worth area will kick off the 2023-24 academic year between Aug. 7 through Aug 16, depending upon the district.
Here’s a look at when traditional public schools and charter schools in Fort Worth are scheduled to hold their first day of classes:
- Aug. 7: Rocketship Public Schools, IDEA Public Schools, and Texas Can Academies
- Aug. 8: Ignite Community School
- Aug. 9: Castleberry ISD, Uplift Education, Trinity Basin Preparatory, and Harmony Public Schools
- Aug. 10: Crowley ISD, Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD, and International Leadership of Texas
- Aug. 14: Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, Everman ISD, Fort Worth ISD, Lake Worth ISD, Newman International Academy, Chapel Hill Academy, Basis Benbrook, and Texas Center for Arts and Academics (Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and Texas School of the Arts)
- Aug. 15: Great Hearts Academies, and Richard Milburn Academy
- Aug. 16: Aledo ISD, Burleson ISD, Keller ISD, Northwest ISD, and White Settlement ISD
