Explore the state through “Soy de Tejas: A Statewide Survey of Latinx Art”
The exhibition features everything from paintings and fiber art to video works and an interactive claw-machine game situated on piles of sand. More than 90 works from nearly 40 artists are spread throughout multiple galleries at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, managed by Arts Fort Worth.
What: “Soy de Tejas: A Statewide Survey of Latinx Art” is an exhibition of artwork from nearly 40 contemporary Texas artists.

Dust off your boots and learn to line dance at Burnett Park
If this weather makes you feel like dancing, you’re in luck. Burnett Plaza is sponsoring weekly, free line dance lessons from Tony New. Grab a partner and prepare to get down, turn around and do the “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.”

Spend your Saturday at a poetry slam
The Thank You Darlin’ Foundation is hosting its 16th annual Voice2Youth Poetry Slam. Students in grades 3-12 will take the stage to share original poetry with the suggested theme of magnification. Hear what the young poets think is already magnified and what they want to shine a light on, as they compete for cash prizes of $25 for individuals and $100 for teams.
